Ways your NDIS funding can be managed
Your plan says how your funding is managed. It can be a mix of these.
- NDIA-managed
- The NDIA pays your providers directly from your plan.
- Plan-managed
- A plan manager pays your providers for you and helps you keep track of your budget.
- Self-managed
- You pay your providers and claim the money back from the NDIS. Most flexible, with more record-keeping.
Rules about which providers you can use depend on how your plan is managed. Read the NDIS guide (opens in a new tab).
Service agreements explained
A service agreement is a written agreement between you (or your representative) and a provider. It usually covers:
- The supports you'll receive, and when and where they'll be delivered
- What each support costs and how you'll be invoiced
- Your responsibilities and the provider's responsibilities
- How either of you can change or end the agreement
- How to give feedback or make a complaint
Take your time to read it, and ask someone you trust to help. You can ask us to explain anything in our agreement — contact us.
